The eighteen dynamic clubs serving the North County of San Diego, CA, are dedicated to making the communities we live in and the lives of our residents - young and old - richer and more meaningful.

Explore our 18 clubs and their web sites. You'll find men and women from all walks of life sharing a common purpose - to have fun while enhancing the quality of life for our neighbors through the Objectives of Kiwanis.

They come together in fellowship and respond to the needs they see around them. North County is the gleaming jewel of the San Diego area and these are the people who help make North County shine.

Our 18 clubs serve schools, Boys & Girls clubs, youth organizations, homeless shelters, Rady Children's Hospital, seniors and military programs and much more through an assortment of community service projects and activities.

The future is now. YOU can make a difference. You can help create the future through the Kiwanis spirit of involvement

The six permanent Objectives of Kiwanis International were approved by Kiwanis club delegates at the 1924 International Convention in Denver, Colorado. Through the decades, they have remained unchanged.

· To give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than to the material values of life.
•To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships.
•To promote the adoption and the application of higher social, business, and professional standards.
•To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship.
•To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service, and to build better communities.
•To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism, which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, and goodwill.

Recently the Kiwanis Club of Sunrise Vista celebrated Ethel ("Mom" to her Kiwanis family) Arrow smith’s 103rd birthday. There's a secret to aging with grace and a lot of that has to do with attitude. If there is one person on God's green earth that embraced the philosophy of making lemonade out of lemons, it is Ethel!
